STAFFER OF THE DEADLINE

The staffers of the deadline award is a great way to show our staffers we appreciate the work they are doing and incentive for them to make sure their work is as good as possible. For deadlines, we have a mini and final deadline that the staffers can both win. The mini is given out by their editor of the spread and the final is given out by one of the co-editors either Reagan Massey or myself. We give out certificates and have a prize box that they can choose from including Taylor Swift car fresheners, stickers, cups, and snacks.

A variety of presentations are taught to the staffers at the beginning of the year and can be resorted back to if needed.

Before & After

This year being the co-editor-in-chief, I have gotten editing yearbook pages down to a science. I can fully edit the text, reorganize the layout, and make a staff page look print-ready in an hour from start to finish. The pages you are about to see had major issues with design and writing until I fixed them. Editing pages has really taught me that I can get a lot accomplished in a short time frame through thoughtful and strategic execution.
